  2. Ok. Starchy foods are things like your rice. By non dairy I would think it would mean some kind of protein, such as fish, poulty, red meats, and obviously your fruits are items such as apples and stuff. Umm lunch i would say that mean 3 servings of starches (1/2 cup servings of rice?) vegetable servings of different types like carrots, corn, celery things like that and your fruit is the same. Im not totally familiar with this particular diet (Its the first Ive heard of it) but I hope this helps. Either that or take it to google search. The reason behind no salt is because salt causes the body to store water, which leads to weight gain. I would say drink about 2 Litres of water per day. Hope it starts to make sence now.
